Hervé Tullet, the best-selling author and illustrator of Press Here, took his imagination off the page and into the main hall of Brooklyn Public Library.

On Sunday, Tullet joined 200 of Brooklyn’s fledgling artists and readers to paint a lively and colorful mural. The event not only coincides with the release of Mr. Tullet’s new book, Mix it Up, but also with the only exhibition of his work in the United States this year— to be shown from October 2, 2014 through February 1, 2015 in Brooklyn Public Library’s Central Library.

Hervé Tullet’s playful style and unique use of color have earned his children’s books a spot on the best-seller list for more than 150 weeks, and have garnered him acclaim across the globe.  His work not only engages children with images on the page, but also with the physical feel of books— making him a favorite for young readers.

Hervé Tullet’s exhibition and family painting workshop event are sponsored by Handprint Books and Chronicle Books.
